Artist Participant Form
Welcome to the CollaboratioNZ 2025 registration process and information.
This form needs to be filled in and submitted by all artists attending CollaboratioNZ 2025.
Event dates are 7th to 16th March 2025. Registration from 10am Friday 7th March. 430pm Whakatau (Traditional Maori welcoming ceremony).
CollaboratioNZ 2025 will be held at Mc Gregors Bay, 30 minutes drive from Whangarei, Northland NZ. Our beachfront setting provides a stunning private environment at the foot of the mighty Mt Manaia, a landmark steeped in Maori legend that inspires the creative muses. Multi-purpose out-buildings and marquees are clustered around the central meeting-dining hall where meals are prepared and served. Bunkrooms are provided and there are also on-site camping areas for tents. If you wish to stay offsite, there is a wide range of accommodation options within 10mins drive of camp.
Air travel is possible to Whangarei airport for International and NZ participants. Airport or bus pickup is available if travel itineraries are provided in advance. With heavy equipment, full wood/furniture, metal and ceramic workshops onsite, it means safety is a top priority. A full safety briefing will be provided at the beginning of camp. No children or pets are permitted on site.
All visitors including children are welcome to attend the Open Day on Tuesday 11th of March from 10am-3pm. All work created during the event is the property of CollaboratioNZ Trust and will be sold at the CollaboratioNZ no-reserve art auction to raise money to cover costs and to seed the following event. Completed works will be exhibited to sponsors, invited guests, media and the public before being auctioned. The auction is open to the public and is held at Hihiaua Cultural Centre, Whangarei from 11am, Sat 15th March.
All materials and equipment (except personal hand tools) are provided, but artists are encouraged to bring strange, favorite or found materials to share.
For artists, this hands-on week exploring new mediums and making new connections with some of the world’s most creative minds is a portal to new directions and it is extraordinarily fun. You will have the opportunity to experiment with new mediums and learn first-hand from other artists.
